I Want to Help "Singh Around the World" and Sam

Based on feedback from a number of readers of the Singh Around the World Blog, we have created this section on how you can help Sam accomplish the goals of his 16-month odyssey. 

Charity

On occasion, Sam has participated in volunteering with organizations in other countries.  Often this type of international volunteering comes with a fee so the local affiliate can provide lodging, food, and supplies for the service project.  Also, in the end a portion of the fee is a contribution to the charity so they can continue their work into the future.  Sam’s next volunteer gig is with the Habitat For Humanity affiliate in Bangalore, India.  The fee for the ten-day project is $1000 with all of the fees going directly to Habitat for Humanity.  If you are interested in helping Sam with this project e-mail him at singhsam@msu.edu and he will send to you the information that Habitat for Humanity needs to process your online donation.  

Connections

Do you have friends in other countries that Sam should meet up with?  Readers have been helpful in connecting Sam with friends, coworkers and family in almost every country on his journey.  People have met Sam for drinks, meals, provided advice on where to go and even in some cases put him up for the night.

Sam’s journey over the next four months will take him to the following places or countries:

Financial Support

In addition to his charity and potential connections, you can directly support Sam’s journey.  This section is meant for Sam’s close personal friends and family.  Perhaps you been with Sam when he is bought you dinner, bought the group a round of drinks, maybe you owe him money or simply you have just enjoyed reading the blog for the past eight months.  Whatever the reason, you can send money to his PAYPAL account (click link or the button below) and help him finish the last eight months.

If you would like you can ask Sam to do something special with your gift.  Buy a round of drinks for strangers.  Go out for a nice dinner only if he takes a date with him.  Upgrade where he staying. You can earmark the gift to be used in a specific country or during a special event.  Be creative and Sam will document it through pictures. Knowing Sam’s friends, only legal and reasonable request will be considered.
